Not just a giveaway but our biggest ever festive giveaway!!!
You may have been following our ’12 Days of Christmas’ giveaway over on Instagram and we hope you have all been enjoying all the tremendous treats and gifts donated by some incredible companies.
It all began a few months ago when Emma, Vicki and Jade Beer were chatting about the all-important lead up to Christmas and thought how wonderful it would be to offer something magical to our friends and followers of Tythe. Keeping it within the Tythe family we chose to ask all our members of the team what they would like for Christmas and chose our gifts according to what was high on their wish list.
So after a busy few weeks the festive giveaway has arrived and is already off with an impressive start. Beautiful designer wedding shoes, a gorgeous Christmas Wreath, beauty products to die for and Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without food… Here’s a little hint for you on what’s to come but remember… stay tuned every day! You won’t want to miss any of these!!

James, our Head Gardener, thought it would be wonderful to be able to receive a Christmas Wreath inspired by the Tythe estate and designed to specifically reflect what is planted and grown on the farm at this time of year. We immediately contacted Lavender Green Flowers to see if they could magic up a bespoke Tythe Christmas door wreath.
This one-of-a-kind wreath has clustered foliage including Laurel, Pitto Ralphi reflecting the Bay in our gardens and Catkin Hazel as well as different types of Pine, Birch twigs and Lichen for plenty of texture and a natural ‘from-the-garden’ look.

Enrica isn’t known for her love of shopping, in fact she is much happier chatting plants with James, our Head Gardener or strolling around National Trust gardens but once in a while she will dip her toe in some good old retail therapy! Bicester Village is just around the corner from Tythe and with an abundance of designer stores and fabulous eateries to choose from, top of Enrica’s list was a day out at the famous Retail Outlet with a little pocket money (hopefully!) We’ve built up a close relationship with the Village, as we locals like to call it, over the years and we knew they would be kind enough to get involved. We are incredibly grateful to our friends down the road who have kindly offered a £250 voucher!
One very lucky winner won’t find it too hard to make their way through 250 little festive pounds. Bicester Village is one of the biggest retail shopping villages in the world including brands such as…. Jimmy Choo, Christian Laboutin, Dolce & Gabanna, Valentino, Ted Baker and so many more…

In Emma’s own words –
“I’m turning 53 this year, spend most of my time rushing from A to B and have realised I’m probably about 20 years too late in starting a proper beauty routine! With little time to squeeze in facials, I’m wishing for a gorgeous product I could use at home!”

Pip and Reg our gorgeous resident dogs are very much part of our family and Tythe’s too and they are also lucky enough to be on Santa’s list this year. If you’ve been to the barn you have no doubt met these two little cheeky pups who always love a little attention and the odd little snack or two! Will and Emma absolutely adore their four-legged friends but being farm dogs they sometimes need a little help with keeping the odours at bay, which is why we chose this gorgeous Snowflake diffuser by Jo Loves. It smells divine and adds some gorgeous festive cheer and fragrance to any room (even the ones Reg and Pip have been in!)
Said to encapsulate the beauty of snowflakes falling for the first time, this home fragrance is a blend of fresh Eucalyptus and festive Cinnamon to represent the wonderful smell of Christmas morning. Inspired by founder Jo Malone’s love of art, the diffuser has been designed as a beautiful sculptural addition to your living space. If you are yet to decide on the perfect scent for your wedding day, then consider booking one of the complimentary Fragrance Tapas sessions hosted at the Jo Loves flagship store in London’s Belgravia. It’s an interactive experience where products are whipped, foamed, warmed and steamed in front of you to showcase the different scents and help you decide.

We should have known our Bar Manager would be after a tipple of some sort this festive season! The fabulous Joe, who really does make the best Espresso Martini, can’t partake in his wonderful cocktails at work so has wished for his very own Cocktail Shaker (and all the ingredients) for home!
Fancy a go at making “Joe’s Perfect Espresso Martini” which includes his secret ingredient? The winner will receive a complete cocktail shaker set similar to the equipment we use behind the bar at Tythe.
Alongside this excellent prize our friends at Craftworks have gifted miniature bottles of Hotel Starlino, which we use to make one of our spritz cocktails and Joe’s personal favourite – Shanky’s Whip Whiskey Liqueur. Shanky’s Whip is a sweet liqueur that uses a base of spicy Irish whiskey that has been infused with vanilla and caramel, so it’s super creamy (even though there’s no actual cream in it). Because of the bold flavours of baking spices, creamy vanilla fudge, milk chocolate, a crack of black pepper, and buttery caramel, Joe said he finds it a perfect replacement to vodka when making the perfect Espresso Martini!

Vicki, Tythe’s Social Media Manager, is a home bird at heart – pyjamas on within 5 minutes of walking in the door, fire lit and kettle on type of girl! Christmas is one of Vicki’s favourite times of the year and it’s no surprise that candles would feature somewhere near the very top of her wish list. To help Vicki cosy up this Christmas we went straight to the amazing Wick & Tallow and their Christmas Candle.
Christmas time at Tythe is very special, it’s when as you walk around the estate, the air is full of the scent of log fires and festive spices. We wanted to find a way to bring those Wintertime smells inside and so bespoke candle makers Wick & Tallow have created this evocative candle just for us, rich with the fragrance of orange, lemon, cinnamon, clove, wood and musk combined with beautiful floral jasmine. The perfect scent for a Winter wedding and to remind you of your big day long into the future, it has a burn time of 100 hours.

Brandon, Tythe’s fabulous Caretaker and Gardening Assistant, is always busy working around the grounds of the estate and prepping our gorgeous Farmhouse for our guests which is why you can quite often find him on one of his breaks settled in the warmth of the farmhouse kitchen with a cup of coffee and one of his favourite sneaky treats; cakes and biscuits. We thought Brandon deserved a little extra festive sweet treat and chose the gorgeous Terre et Lune floral Christmas biscuits made by Charlene. Having been to the barn a few times before and new to our suppliers list this year we thought Charlene’s hand-painted biscuits would be the perfect choice!
These biscuits are the perfect Christmas treat, bringing you all the warming seasonal flavours of ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. They are topped with a thin layer of quality fondant icing (which isn’t too sweet – think more marshmallow than pure sugar!) and hand-painted with an edible watercolour effect in soft green, beige and burgundy with pops of teal…an alternative colour palette to the usual Christmas colours. The watercolour backdrop is overlaid with hand painted line drawings of mistletoe, berries and poinsettia and finished with a dusting of edible gold to add an antique feel. It’s definitely a recognisable signature style that can be found in many of Terre et Lune’s designs, which brings a more modern, art-inspired take on Christmas!

Sandy, Tythe’s Book Keeper, spends a lot of time communicating – whether by pen, email, phone or post but it usually involves a spreadsheet, invoice or bar chart. As a result, Sandy mentioned she’d love the opportunity to enjoy writing on some beautifully created stationery that reflects a more traditional form of letter writing. We all agreed that it had to be the Stationery from the Papier & Alice Temperley wedding collection. A set of 20 note cards for you and a friend, specially chosen by Sandy.
Get your wedding planning off to a stylish start with these beautiful cards and envelopes featuring British wildflowers and butterflies that look as if they could have been designed just for Tythe. One of the prettiest stationery collaborations we have seen, our lucky winners will be able to personalise their stationery with their own names.
