Taking you back to crisp autumn days and the magic of winter with the glorious wedding of Jordan and Sam back in November. As we all begin to take comfort from the luxuries of home and wrap ourselves up to keep the cold winds at bay, let’s take a moment to remember the beauty of an Autumn wedding here at Tythe in Oxfordshire.
With the sun shining through the trees, the leaves now a rainbow of oranges and red, Jordan and Sam started their day prepping in The Nook, our wonderful preparation barn. As a change from the norm, The Nook, usually reserved by our brides, was a hustle of activity as both Jordan and Sam spent time (separately of course) with their loved ones preparing themselves for a very special ‘first look’ out in the barn gardens. As Jordan and her bridesmaids finished getting ready they set-off for the cosiness of The Cowshed whilst Sam and his groomsmen moved into the space.
After the first look and time spent together for those all-important photographs around the grounds there was time for ‘his and hers’ cocktails – Aperol Spritz for the girls and Negroni for the guys. Long pre-ceremony drinks with guests led to the beautiful intimate ceremony that was held within the cosy stone walls of the barn and under the sways of our twinkly fairy lights and gorgeous rustic winter branches.
After, a glass of mulled wine enjoyed by the outdoor wood burners and perfect to ward off the late afternoon chill in the air. Come the wedding breakfast, Jordan and Sam chose to sit amongst their guests at our pretty banqueting tables feasting on the delicious delights brought to the table by our award-winning caterers, Absolute Taste.
Their day, perfectly arranged to suit their story – relaxed, informal and every bit as they had hoped it would be. With roaring fires, ‘his and hers’ drinks, Espresso Martinis and the most romantic indoor ceremony, warm yourself up and indulge in the enchantment that this sumptuous seasonal wedding brings.
