A note on Sustainability

Tythe are very aware of our responsibility towards the environment and have implemented a number of measures to reduce our carbon footprint and give back to the local community that we’re so much a part of. As a family run business based on our working farm, operating as sustainably as possible is fundamental to how we work.

Our biomass boiler runs on wood pellets creating enough energy to heat the entire venue, whilst solar panels on the roof of our grain store produce enough power to light Tythe’s estate. We have a water purification system to serve still and sparkling water to our guests in our re-usable glass bottles and we harvest rainwater for our plants as well as recycling all cardboard and wine corks.

Over the last ten years we have planted over 1000 trees across our estate. We also created a kitchen herb garden to grow mint for our Pimm’s receptions and the apples from our orchard are the key ingredient in our Apple Sour cocktail!

If you’re searching for a venue that cares as much about the environment as it does about creating unforgettable weddings, then we’d love for you to get in touch.
