It’s often one of the first thoughts once the engagement news is out. Who will do the hair and make-up and how can you ensure it chimes beautifully with your overall vision for the day and the venue you’re marrying in. Thankfully, Tythe know the very best makeup artists in the business! Here’s how three of our favourites and their brides got it just right . . .

MUA Laura Carroll on bride Kristen Morrison: ‘Kristen’s bridal look was designed to feel effortlessly radiant and completely in harmony with both her personal style and the romantic setting of Tythe. As an artist herself, colour and detail were especially important to her, so every element of the makeup was chosen with intention. Her dress featured beautiful floral textures, which paired perfectly with the soft, whimsical blooms within her bouquet and the natural charm of the venue. I wanted the makeup to compliment these details, incorporating delicate blush tones through the cheeks and lips to echo the soft pinks and mauves running throughout the day. The skin was kept fresh, luminous and natural, allowing Kristen’s features to shine through while creating a timeless bridal look that would feel just as beautiful in person as it would in photographs. The soft flush of colour added warmth and romance without overwhelming her natural beauty. The overall look felt feminine, elegant and effortless, perfectly reflecting both Kristen’s artistic eye and the relaxed, romantic atmosphere of Tythe.’
Kristen on Laura Carroll: ‘What I loved most was how well the look suited both me and the setting. Tythe has such a timeless, romantic feel, and my makeup felt elegant without being overdone. It looked natural in person, photographed beautifully, and I still felt like me. Laura brought such a calm, friendly energy on my wedding morning. She (and her team) made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable, and I felt confident in her hands. Looking back at the photos, I wouldn’t change a thing. MUA Frankie Calver on bride Chanele Hornbuckle: ‘Tythe is such a naturally beautiful setting, and bridal beauty works best there when it feels elevated yet understated – allowing the bride to shine whilst still sitting harmoniously within the atmosphere of the venue. Creating Chanele’s bridal look was all about enhancing what already makes her naturally beautiful, while ensuring she still felt completely like herself. We focused on radiant, flawless skin and soft definition around the eyes to make her features stand out in a timeless and elegant way, rather than anything overly trend-led or heavy. Her hair was styled to feel romantic and effortless, with soft movement that framed her face beautifully and complemented both her dress and the relaxed luxury feel of the Tythe estate. We wanted the overall look to feel polished enough for such a special occasion, whilst still soft, modern and comfortable to wear from morning through to the dance floor.’
Chanele Hornbuckle on Frankie: ‘I knew I wanted that soft, glowing Charlotte Tilbury style for my wedding makeup, but still feeling like myself. Frankie got that straight away and created exactly what I had in mind. Both my makeup and hair felt like me, just a slightly more polished, put-together version. I felt so beautiful and confident all day. Everything lasted well from morning right through to the evening, which meant I could enjoy every moment without worrying. I also loved how the warmth in the makeup worked with our setting at Tythe – the greens and golds we had throughout the day all tied in naturally. The whole look suited the atmosphere of the day. I couldn’t have been happier with how it all came together.’
MUA Zoe Kennedy on bride Catherine Martin: ‘I created this ethereal, modern bridal makeup look on Catherine for her wedding at the breathtaking Tythe Barn. Her horsehair veil and flowing dress gave such a weightless feel to her bridal look, and we made sure the makeup flowed with this, enough for it to look flawless but not too much that it overpowered the look. Catherine’s vision was glowy skin that lasts, matte eyes with a small pop of subtle shimmer and radiant blushed cheeks that matched her soft pink lips. Paired with a slick back hairstyle, it was effortlessly timeless and elegant, the perfect look for a Tythe wedding.’
Catherine Martin on Zoe Kennedy: ‘As soon as Jack and I got engaged, I knew that I wanted Zoe to do my makeup on our wedding day. As well as being the loveliest and most calming presence, Zoe is truly incredible at what she does. I absolutely loved what she created at the preview, but it was somehow even better on the wedding day, totally flawless, which I didn’t think was possible. I didn’t worry about a thing all morning, and Zoe stayed for touch-ups before we left for the church. She is the ultimate hype girl, keeping everything fun and relaxed, she made us all feel so beautiful. The look worked perfectly at Tythe. It was polished and elegant while still looking completely natural, which suited both the venue and the overall feel of our day. It photographed so well and still felt like me, which was exactly what I wanted.’
