Award-winning Tythe

Tythe isn’t just one of the UK’s most luxurious wedding venues — it’s one of the most celebrated.

Since opening we have won Best Wedding Venue and Best Countryside Wedding Venue at The Wedding Industry Awards. We are also the holder of the coveted Best Customer Service Award (everybody wants there day to run smoothly don’t they!) from Guides for Brides.

With over 25 years of perfecting weddings and a reputation that draws couples from all over the world, this is an Oxfordshire wedding venue that has earned every accolade.

The Estate

Step through the gates and into a private world of Cotswold stone, ancient oak and manicured English gardens. The Tythe estate spans a collection of beautifully restored buildings and landscaped grounds.

Wander through wisteria-draped pathways, beneath a canopy of silver birch, past a weathered-oak arbour strung with festoons — each corner revealing another setting for your celebrations.

The Thatched Barn

For your indoor ceremony, wedding breakfast and party!

At the heart of the farm lies the historic 14th Century, Thatched Barn, carefully restored for the modern day without losing an ounce of its charm. Double height barn doors reveal a backdrop of Cotswold stone walls, oak beams draped in fairy lights and a space that is adaptable for small, intimate ceremonies and larger wedding parties. A romantic and quintessentially English setting.

The Nook

Pamper and prep in private

Getting ready on your wedding day demands some seriously swanky surroundings. The Nook provides two light and airy adjoining rooms in a secluded spot only steps from the Thatched Barn. Impressive interiors featuring full-length mirrors, carefully sourced antiques, an ensuite and kitchenette provide everything you need. The Nook can also be adapted to offer wedding accommodation.

The Cowshed & Hovel

Reception drinks, post dinner Martinis or late evening munchies

A charming spot with floor to ceiling glazing, panoramic windows, timber beams wrapped in fairy lights, a wood-burner and three flame-effect fires. There’s a wood-fired pizza oven for evening grazing and adjoining snug to shelter from the sun or cosy up in when it’s cooler.

The Farmhouse

GATHER FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO FEAST AND SLEEPOVER

A quintessentially English Manor house set at the heart of our family working farm, it’s your luxury rural retreat with space for everyone. Enjoy seven double ensuite bedrooms including a Master Wedding Suite, plus a dedicated pampering space with your own Champagne station. On the ground floor there’s an assortment of charming rooms, including a dedicated space for the groom and outside a tennis court, the wood-fuelled hot tub and a Shepherd’s Hut for two!

The Shepherd’s Hut

YOUR PLUS TWO!

Imaginatively designed for maximum comfort using traditional materials – think indulgent bed linen and sheepskin throws against a backdrop of soft lighting, underfloor heating and wood and copper accessories. Throw in the ensuite shower room, mini kitchenette, wood-burner, garden views and it’s one special sleepover.

The lodge

A new dedicated space to get ready, eat, drink and sleep.

Nestled between the 14th century Thatched Barn, a short walk through the Avenue of Birch Trees and with the backdrop of open English countryside sits our latest addition, The Lodge.

The ultimate space to both get ready before the ceremony and host welcome drinks as guests arrive.

With its pull-down bed, The Lodge can also offer additional accommodation.

The Gardens

These are gardens designed not just to be seen, but to be luxuriated in.

Manicured lawns give way to wild meadow views. A Silver Birch avenue creates a breathtaking natural aisle, dappled light filtering through the canopy. Wisteria clings to honey-coloured stone, framing a garden path made for slow walks in white.

The weathered-oak arbour, strung with festoons, stands against open countryside — an intimate stage for vows spoken under open sky.

Tucked-away corners invite champagne and conversation; sunlit terraces host reception drinks; croquet on the lawn fills the golden hour before dinner. As dusk falls, outdoor wood-burners glow and the estate takes on a quieter magic.

The Church

Just beyond the garden wall stands St Mary’s — a 12th-century village church of weathered stone and quiet grandeur.

A short walk down a private garden path connects the estate to its doors, meaning you can move from ceremony to celebration in moments.

For couples seeking a traditional blessing or full church service before returning to Tythe for the festivities, it offers something few venues can: nine centuries of history, mere footsteps away.
