Explore Tythe
Tythe is just 10 minutes from junction 9 of the M40 and accessible to two mainline stations with direct routes to London and Birmingham.
The Estate
BIG OR SMALL, WE’LL MAKE THE PARTY FABULOUS
Tythe brings together three impressive bright and airy refurbished barns, a 17th century Farmhouse and Shepherd’s Hut alongside a backdrop of expertly manicured gardens and wild open fields. There’s even a spot to land the helicopter.
The Thatched Barn
For your indoor ceremony, wedding breakfast and party!
At the heart of the farm lies the historic 14th Century, Thatched Barn, carefully restored for the modern day without losing an ounce of its charm. Double height barn doors reveal a backdrop of Cotswold stone walls, oak beams draped in fairy lights and a space that is adaptable for small, intimate ceremonies and larger wedding parties. A romantic and quintessentially English setting.
The Nook
Pamper and prep in private
Getting ready on your wedding day demands some seriously swanky surroundings. The Nook provides two light and airy adjoining rooms in a secluded spot only steps from the Thatched Barn. Impressive interiors featuring full-length mirrors, carefully sourced antiques, an ensuite and kitchenette provide everything you need. The Nook can also be adapted to offer accommodation.
The Cowshed & Hovel
Reception drinks, post dinner Martinis or late evening munchies
A charming spot with floor to ceiling glazing, panoramic windows, timber beams wrapped in fairy lights, a wood-burner and three flame-effect fires. There’s a wood-fired pizza oven for evening grazing and adjoining snug to shelter from the sun or cosy up in when it’s cooler.
The Farmhouse
GATHER FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO FEAST AND SLEEPOVER
A quintessentially English Manor house set at the heart of our family working farm, it’s your luxury rural retreat with space for everyone. Enjoy seven double ensuite bedrooms including a Master Wedding Suite, plus a dedicated pampering space with your own Champagne station. On the ground floor there’s an assortment of charming rooms, including a dedicated space for the groom and outside a tennis court, the wood-fuelled hot tub and a Shepherd’s Hut for two!
The Shepherd’s Hut
YOUR PLUS TWO!
Imaginatively designed for maximum comfort using traditional materials – think indulgent bed linen and sheepskin throws against a backdrop of soft lighting, underfloor heating and wood and copper accessories. Throw in the ensuite shower room, mini kitchenette, wood-burner, garden views and it’s one special sleepover.
The Gardens
PICK A SPOT. WE’VE GOT LOTS!
A shady corner to sip Champagne, an outdoor aisle drenched in Wisteria to say your ‘I do’s’ or pretty lawns on which to play croquet. An avenue of Silver Birch trees create a breath-taking canopy for a ceremony or dinner, with the backdrop of the Thatched Barn whilst the natural beauty of our weathered-oak Arbour is lit with festoons and frames the cows and sheep in the fields beyond. As dusk falls, cosy up on the sheepskin by the wood-burner for late night munchies and an Espresso Martini.
The Church
For a blessing or service
Next door to Tythe sits the impressive 12th Century village church – St Mary’s. With a garden path running directly from our gardens to the church, you can be toasting your union in under three minutes!

FAQs
Who will ensure the day runs on time? Where will we all park? And where can I find the best suppliers? All your questions answered here.
Are we able to hold a civil ceremony / civil partnership at Tythe?
Yes, we are licensed for up to 150 guests and can host both indoor and outdoor ceremonies.
Indoor ceremonies take place in our 14th Century stone barn beneath a canopy of fairy lights and gorgeous oak beams. Our outdoor ceremonies can take place on any day of the year, as long as the weather remains warm and dry and use a variety of areas around the estate including the wonderful oak pergola and pretty garden path.
Smaller and more intimate ceremonies can also take place in The Cowshed barn featuring beams, wood burners and fairy lights. This option may carry restrictions – please discuss with our team.
Is parking available at the venue for guests?
The car park at Tythe has space for 75 cars and the capacity to accommodate larger vehicles, such as a coach or bus. Cars can remain in the car park overnight until 10am the following morning. Farmhouse residents have a separate entrance and parking area.
Can we bring our own suppliers and/or decorations?
Please note that Tythe does not formally recommend or receive any commission from the ‘Helpful Bunch’ and you are more than welcome to select your own.
Will we have someone to run our day?
Shortly after booking Tythe for a wedding, couples will be introduced to one of our fantastic Function Managers who will support, advise and guide you throughout your planning stages and look after you and your guests at your wedding.
Our Function Manager will run your day, coordinate our experienced team of staff and make sure everything goes smoothly. Did you know we were presented with the ‘Best Customer Service’ award by our couples and the Guides for Brides team?
